On January 4th, OP Puck came up with a big conference win against Nutley with a final of 7-2.

The Rams came out of the gate fast as they netted their first goal a few minutes into the game. Jeff Jarvis raced up the ice on a 2 on 2 with Will Moran alongside. Jarvis faked a shot and dished the puck to Moran in front of the net for the early score.

Jeff Jarvis had a hand in another goal a few minutes later as he sniped a shot top-shelf on the power play to make it 2-0 early in the game. A few minutes later, on that same powerplay, Tom Lamonte fired a rocket from the point which was blocked by the goalie but the rebound came out to Tyler Gobel who collected the puck and put it in the back of the net. The Rams led 3-1 at the end of the 1st period.

Halfway through the 2nd period, the Rams struck again at the hands of Colin Reis. The Rams dumped the puck in, the Nutley defender misplayed the puck, and Colin Reis took control and put the puck five-hole on the goalie for his first varsity goal.

After Nutley got a goal back, Will Moran answered with a wicked wrist shot from the blue line, beating the goalie blocker-side. Moran completed the hat-trick stretched the lead to 6-2 with another goal. The score at the end of two was 6-2 Oratory.

The Rams scored their seventh goal courtesy of Matt DeAngelis, who also scored his first varsity goal with a whistler from the blue line. Darren Keaveny ended the day in goal with a respectable 86% save percentage with 18 saves on 21 shots.  Will Moran tallied a hat-trick while Matt DeAngelis and Colin Reis scored their first varsity goals. Jeff Jarvis and Tyler Gobel both chipped in a goal.
