The ALCS was dominated by the Indians and led to their first appearance in the Fall Classic in almost two decades.  The Cleveland Indians took game 1 thanks to ace Corey Kluber, shutting out the Blue Jays explosive offense coupled with a decisive two runs scored in the sixth inning.  Game two saw the same result as the first, with the Indians coming to a 2-0 lead on the series over Toronto.  The Indians struck first with one run in the second, which the Jays quickly took back at the start of the third. The Indians, however, would once again take the lead in the bottom of the inning.  The score would remain the same for the rest of the game, bringing Cleveland ever closer to the World Series.  Game three looked troublesome for the Indians as starting pitcher Trevor Bauer was forced to leave the game after a cut on his pinky finger opened up, causing him to bleed profusely.  Despite this, the Indians won the game 4-2 to give them a comfortable lead on the series.  Game four was however won by the Blue Jays 5-1 to break the hopes of a Cleveland sweep.  Hopes of a Toronto comeback were, however, crushed as game five was dominated by the Indians who won 3-0, taking them to the World Series.  The Tribe now face a daunting Cubs offense and an excellent bullpen coming up in order to win their first pennant since 1948.
