MLB Playoff Preview

This past Sunday marked the end of Major League Baseball regular season. Now, onto to October baseball, the most important part of the season. With the wild card teams and teams that clinched already set, it is safe to say that this year is going to have some of the best postseason baseball in a while.

To start off, the two Wild Card games should be interesting. The American League, Orioles vs Blue Jays and the National League, Giants vs Mets. The Orioles- Blue Jays game should be an interesting one as two teams with loaded lineups battle it out to see who will play a very talented Texas Rangers team. This game should be a slugfest. My winner: Orioles. The Mets- Giants game is also going to be a very interesting game to watch as the second place Mets battle it out against a very seasoned Giants organization. The Giants have been struggling lately which makes me believe that Mets will come out on top. The winner will play another very talented team, the Chicago Cubs. The winner of this game is a whole new story.

The Cleveland Indians vs. Boston Red Sox matchup is another great matchup. The Red Sox, have been struggling lately coming off of an eleven game win streak. However, their lineup resembles a lot to the 2013 World Series team, and with Big Papi at the heart of their stacked order, they’re looking better than ever. The Cleveland Indians have been one of the hottest teams in baseball this year. However, they lack the experience the Red Sox has in the postseason. I am not going to say my prediction for the winner of this game in hopes that Red Sox don’t get jinxed. In the National League, the Nationals will be playing the Dodgers. This series is going to be a tight one solely because of good pitching, the Dodgers have powerful pitcher Clayton Kershaw while the Nationals have Max Scherzer who is coming off one of his best seasons as a National. In the end, I predict the Dodgers will win in a tight series.
