Jets v. Seahawks Week 4 Preview

Jets v. Seahawks Week 4 Preview

Richard Imossi, Staff Writer

In week four, the New York Jets take on the Seattle Seahawks. After the Jets terrible loss to the Chiefs, they hope to rebound against one of the NFL’s top teams. Russell Wilson, the quarterback of the Seahawks, is questionable on Sunday due to an MCL sprain sustained in last week’s game. In this matchup, I expect the Seahawks to win.

After the Jets recent performance, I do not think they can rebound fast enough to beat the Seahawks, one of the league’s best. In the Jets loss, they struggled tremendously on offense between the numerous fumbles and Fitzpatrick’s six interceptions. Playing one of the league’s most dominant defenses is not going to help the Jets offensive woes. The Seahawks defense, led by Richard Sherman, will make it difficult for Fitzpatrick to regain his rhythm. Another disappointment for the Jets is their defense has not been as formidable as it was in previous years. This year, the Jets are finding themselves getting beat on long pass plays, which is a killer for any team. “Revis Island” is not as dominant anymore, possibly due to his age. Offensively, the Seahawks look like things are clicking after a slow start in the first two games. In the last game, the Seahawks had a great rushing game led by Christine Michael. If Michael has a similar performance, the Seahawks will be sure to win. Even without Wilson, the Seahawks could still put together a win. When Wilson got injured in the 49ers game, Seahawks backup, Trevone Boykin, stepped in with a decent performance to finish the game. The Seahawks vs. Jets game begins at 1:00 P.M. on Sunday and will be an entertaining matchup to watch.
