France Breaks a Handball Record

France has begun the new year by winning another championship. France is known to be one of the many handball superpowers. When it came time to play in the finals of the handball world championship, France had no easy task as they went up against the astonishingly good Qatar.

The competition started off slowly, although there are bad teams, there are certainly many good teams such Argentina, Russia, Spain, Hungary, Qatar, and France. Although the fierce competition in the later stages of the tournament, France were able to breeze through the rounds until coming to the final.

In the Final, France met Qatar. The game was energizing to watch as there were many great plays. Qatar put up a good fight, but the French went on to win 25-22. This win marks the first team in history to win 5 handball world championships. As France also won the European and Olympic championship, this further proves the dominance of the sport that France has.
