The St. Philip Neri Club is excited to host its third annual Souper Bowl Drive! The Community Food Bank of New Jersey, located in Hillside, is the second-largest food pantry in the United States, serving over 750,000 hungry and food-insecure individuals across our state. In preparation for the Super Bowl, they are requesting soup donations to help those in need.
Ways to get involved:
- Bring in cans of soup: We’ll be collecting soup donations through Friday, February 13th. Please make sure the cans have labels and nutritional information, and remember—no glass containers. Drop-off locations are in Bain and DeGaeta.
- Participate in daily Google Form Trivia leading up to the Super Bowl/Souper Bowl. We will have football facts and facts about hunger awareness. Winners receive a dress down day.
- Participate in Souper Bowl Tag Day on Friday, February 6th: This will be our “Souper Bowl Championship Friday.” You can participate in Tag Day by either:
- Paying $5, or
- Paying $3 plus bringing in 3 cans of soup.
Be sure to wear your favorite football jersey or team colors to add excitement to the weekend and the soup drive!
- Amazon Wish List: If you can’t make it to the store, no problem! You can still help by ordering soup directly through the St. Philip Neri Club’s Amazon Wish List.

- SOUPER Bowl Saturday is returning at CFBNJ’s warehouse in Hillside on Saturday, February 7, 2026. The event starts with a Volunteer Shift from 9AM to 11AM followed by Halftime Snacks and Fun Activities. Learn more about strengthening food security and engage in giving back to the community at SOUPER Bowl Saturday. The event offers the opportunity to gather together in the act of making a difference, share your voice to spread awareness about CFBNJ’s mission and raise funds to provide food, help, and hope to our neighbors in need. I will be presenting myths vs. facts about food insecurity in New Jersey.
Ticket and sponsorship opportunities are available. Volunteer shifts are limited: https://cfbnj.org/events/souper-bowl-saturday-2/
Please share this with your teams, clubs, family, and friends to help make this drive a huge success. Together, we can make a difference! Please contact Nolan Gabel and Anthony Gentile of the St. Philip Neri Club if there are any questions.
