It’s that time of year again. Christmas is upon us. We gather for this time of year for many simple and wholesome things, such as opening presents under the Christmas tree, spending time with family and friends, and overall having a festive time. But today, I came to speak in the court of public opinion to rank the best Christmas treats starting from the worst to the best. Now, all of this is my opinion so fight me if you don’t like my ranking.
- Fruit Cake: At first glance from the name, you expert it to taste good. However, it doesn’t. It has dried fruit from the inside as well as some spices. However, it is too old fashioned in a bad way and overall it is not good. For the people who do somehow like it, I don’t get it and please let me know how you enjoy it.
- Gingerbread Cookies: These cookies genuinely taste bad and stink. Companies try to gaslight you into thinking that they taste great when in reality they don’t. It is too dry and the extra sweets on top barely try to mask the flavor. By the way, if you ever build those Gingerbread houses, you know deep down that that thing will end up in the trash for the local racoons to eat. And I’m pretty sure they don’t even like it either.
- Sugar Cookies: Other than the Gingerbread cookies, these cookies are a staple to holiday treats. These cookies are really good and simple. However, I will not stand for the sugar cookie propaganda for it being overrated. So that’s why it is at the number 3 ranking. It is still pretty good though.
- Candy Canes: Candy canes are another staple for the Holiday treats. I would argue that it is the Mickey Mouse of Holiday treats with it being everywhere. This candy is really good. It has that crunch to it and it has a good design. However, unless you don’t remove all of the wrapping, this candy is the definition of sticky. You will have sticky hands after eating one of these candies.
Honorable mentions: Red Velvet Cake, Cheesecake, and Rice Crispies
- The best Christmas treat goes to Hot Chocolate. This drink goes hard. You could add so many different toppings such as marshmallows, whipped cream, cinnamon and much more as well as snacks to eat alongside it. It is versatile when it comes to drinking it at any time of day. You could snuggle in your warm blanket while drinking Hot Chocolate. It’s that good.
