To close out an incredible Spirit Week, OP came together for their annual talent show, and it did not disappoint. With a wide variety of acts from music to martial arts, the show was packed with creativity and school spirit. Our show opened with an absolutely stunning performance by the student council, singing “Love” by Keyshia Cole, in a touching tribute to John Pirone. Eric Falcone followed with a beautiful piano performance that showed off some incredible skill. Next up, “The King” Brody Sheehan left the crowd speechless with lightning-fast Rubik’s Cube solving. Next, Ryan Dicob and Logan Conception took the stage for an expert-level performance of “Creep,” with guitar and vocals that had the whole gym erupting with applause. Keeping the theme of musical acts, Graham Doyle followed that up with a powerful guitar rendition of “For Whom the Bell Tolls.” Taking a break from music, Jacob Schlegel showed off his strength with his martial arts act, “Dojang Disciple,” with the help of Eric Devomecourt. Mr. Crum joined the lineup with a musical performance of his own, adding to his already amazing track record. New to Oratory, Ms. Monturi followed with a classic, “You’re Nobody ‘Til Somebody Loves You.” Next up, Oliver Drayton took the stage and delivered laughs the likes of which Oratory had never seen before with his comedy set. Afterwards, Bruno Pastore, Andrew Hipolit, Matthew Donohue, and Sol Wright closed out the show as Crooked Clock, with an electrifying performance. Just when we thought the show was over, Oratory’s very own security guard, Ron Martin, took the stage with an uncanny Elvis persona and, without a doubt, stole the show. After tallying up the scores, the first-place spot went to none other than Ryan Dicob and Logan Conception for their performance of Creep, ending spirit week on a perfect note.
