2025 dodgeball Recap
Dodgeball returned to OP in 2025 as one of most beloved traditions. Many new teams were looking to get the glory of being Number 1 but only one came on top. As there were many teams looking to become Champions, Papas ‘ Disciples, one of favorites this year, came through but it wasn’t easy as they faced many challenges during their run. They were an all senior team consisting of Henry Griffiths, Connor Lee, Michael Dragone, Marcus Johnson, Thomas Albanito, Joe Bateh, Tyson Moose, Alex Akiwumi, Will Mazzei, Henry Zahn, Jeff Child, Brandon Lissade, Ryan Fay, Devon Mulvaney, Harrison Healey, and Liam Quinn. Their team was dominant during their run and was one of the strongest teams throughout the tournament.
After a dominating first round victory against a very young Tristan Chang’s Team they had confidence to advance to the finals. In the second round of the tournament their opponent was team Patrick. They faced no challenge against the all Junior team and they passed them with ease. The Papas’ Disciples were itching closer to the finals but they first had to win the semi finals but the road wouldn’t be easy as they faced primarily a sophomore team Big Mac – a true Cinderella story as people didn’t expect them to make it so far. The Papas’ Disciples would not back down as they beat Big Mac in a surprisingly close match. As they advanced to the finals they were not done yet. Papas’ disciples were not satisfied with getting second place. They would play against a tough all senior team, The boys last ride. The two heavy weights faced off in the finals with both teams wanting to come through. Papa’s Disciples came through and won the whole tournament after an impressive victory in the final against The boys last ride. Papas’ Disciples were the winners of the 2025 Oratory Prep dodgeball tournament and left a mark around the school. As this year’s Dodgeball tournament comes to an end, Oratory Prep looks forward to the 2026 dodgeball tournament and only one question remains: who will come out victorious next year?
