Four years ago, I walked into Degaeta Hall for the first time as a young, clueless freshman. Now, I am a senior with a catalog of memories that I will cherish for a lifetime. However, looking back at my years at Oratory, there are some things that I wish I could have done and regret not doing. For one, I wish I had taken more pictures of the aforementioned memories. The memories are great, but having pictures to capture the moment would have been nice. I also regret not taking advantage of getting help from teachers. As I have matured and gotten older, I have come to realize that the faculty and staff here at Oratory actually want what is best for you. They are always there to provide help and answer questions. Looking back, I probably could have used some of their advice. This not only would have improved my relationship with teachers but would have enhanced my overall experience in and out of the classroom. I also regret not taking more risks. Whether it be in the classroom, with my friends, or on my own, I have come to find that the only way to truly improve is to take risks. Without taking risks, you will never truly test yourself or know your full potential. While these are some of my regrets, I do not dwell on them. I choose rather to look at the good/great parts of my high school experience. Rather, I choose to use my regrets as a basis for how I can improve in college and in life in general. Overall, my time at OP is one that I will never forget!
