New Year, New Technology

One of the biggest tech shows of the year recently happened in Las Vegas where approximately thousands of companies featured the future of the world. They had everything from big flying taxis, to small barely visible hearing aids. This conference offered a glimpse into what new technology may be in store for 2024.

For example, there was an ultra fast charger introduced that is more efficient than those today. Today, the fastest chargers are able to fill up your device’s battery in about 10-15 minutes, but this charger will do it in mere seconds, 7 to be exact. Created by Swappery, this charger gives 8-10 hours of battery for a wait of 7 seconds

Also introduced is the Withings Beam O, which is a multi use device. It is a thermometer, stethoscope, pulse oximeter, and electrocardiogram all in one. Making health care more efficient, this device allows people to measure their vital signs in the comfort of their own home.

Last, but definitely not least is the Palmplug which is a glove, primarily designed to aid stroke patients in rehabilitation. It features motion capture sensors on each finger and thumb, connected to provide real-time feedback. Besides its application in health, the glove’s sensory detection technology can hold the potential for virtual reality applications, offering a wide range of actions and benefits for users with reduced sensory movement.

In short, 2024 is bound to have new innovated technology that will surely improve the world.
