A Conversation about Standardized Tests with Prithu Patel

A+Conversation+about+Standardized+Tests+with+Prithu+Patel

Taking the ACT, PSAT, or even a heavily weighted exam such as the SAT is a struggle every high school student will eventually converge upon. Yet, it is how we deal with this adversity and manipulate these heavily thought-out problems for an answer that helps us achieve excellence. A high score on the aforementioned exams could yield an opportunity. Opportunities that could land one at prestigious institutions for a higher level of education. Yet one must often ask… “How do we score higher on a randomized/standardized test like these?” Well I asked our anticipated class valedictorian of our Junior grade, Prithu Patel.

In short, he simply said that he has some almonds before and during whatever exams he takes. Essentially, the answer is not just a snack during testing, but a sense of routine that could put one at ease. He talks about how he takes the gravity of the situation with both seriousness but with a nonchalant sauve. He has a standard morning schedule/routine and gets plenty of sleep. In addition, he focuses on the relaxation of the mind before he lives in the present. This type of attitude could apply to any exam and just an ordinary day through the journey of life.
