It is that time of year where the school year comes to an end, and students from all grades are recognized for their hard work in the classrooms. Last night, all students who managed to get at least an honor roll or higher for the first three marking periods were invited to come to the awards tonight. The awards that were offered to the students were national language society acceptances, department awards, leader of club recognitions, and college scholarships. Many of the names that were called were some of the smartest kids in the school, and the awards a symbol of their hard work throughout the school year. Although every student there did not win an individual award, each student was recognized by either Dr. Acquadro or Mr. McCrystal on making an honor roll for the first three marking periods, getting to walk up and receive a bracelet that said “Honor Roll.” A man that stood out in front of everyone else was junior MJ Cohen who received scholarships, honor society admissions, department awards, etc. Mr Costello would close the night by saying that all in all the night was a success, and that the students’ hard work here does not go unnoticed.
