George Fagan

Before their Union County Tournament matchup against Johnson, the Rams took on High Point High School. Kevin Colandrea took the hill for his third start of the year for the Rams, as he has been dominant when given the start. The Rams would strike first in the first inning thanks to a Antony “Tony” Bibbo homerun for his fourth of the season, giving the Rams a 1-0 lead. Colandrea would continue to battle, but would give up two runs in the 2nd and 3rd innings, which gave Highpoint the lead. The Rams would then explode in the fourth inning for a four run inning. Kevin Parker would help the Rams take the lead thanks to a single up the middle, making it 4-2 in favor of the Rams. The Rams would then score one more run thanks to a perfectly executed bunt by Joe Loiacono. Kevin Colandrea would continue to dominate until his exit in the fourth inning. Colandrea would finish his performance with 4.2 pitched, striking out four, while only allowing one earned run. Mj Cohen would continue to build onto his very impressive season pitching 2.1, allowing one hit, and striking out one. The Rams face West Morris next on Tuesday in preparation for the state tournament. (Image of Kevin Parker taken by Sebastian Wright)
