Since April 13th, the Oratory Prep Lacrosse team has gone 4-0, beating opponents by an astonishing cumulative score of 57-16.  Also in this range, Harrison Lloyd has recorded 18 goals, averaging a remarkable 4.5 goals per game to add to his 1.25 assist average for the past 4 games. This early season dominance is only a fraction of what #11 has done for this program as Lloyd — a Senior — recently scored his 100th career point, a symbol that shows how his dominance has not just been prevalent through the past 4 games, but rather throughout the past 3 seasons. That being said,  Llyod has not been the only senior getting it done for the Rams, as all four of the Rams leading point scorers come from the Class of 2023. Aside from Lloyd with 33 points, both Chris McNiff and Moravian Lax Commit Kyle Gann have netted 14 goals and 6 assist, tallying 20 points each, while Mark Jacobello has dished out 13 assist to pair with 4 goals, totaling 17 points on the year. Each of these four seniors netted a goal in the 16-3 demolish of Cedar Grove which sparked this winning streak. However, the most significant of goals in the Rams narrow 7-6 win over Governor Livingston actually came from Sophomore Andy Nappi, who would hit the game winner with just 28 seconds remaining against the opponents, and former teammates from his home-town. Harrison Lloyd, another Berkeley Heights resident, would score 4 times to defeat his home-town, while Quinn Boylan won 13 of 18 faceoffs, on par with his 73% faceoff win percentage on the year. The momentum gained from this in-county matchup catapulted the Rams into a scoring frenzie — defeating Dayton by a score of 17-3, and Morristown Beard by a score of 17-4. Sitting at a tied for first place position with Arthur L. Johnson, who only beat Morristown Beard by a score of 11-10, Dayton by a score of 13-6 and Cedar Grove by a score of 14-5 (all smaller margins than what OP beat these schools by), the Rams hope to win the conference title have only been heightened. OP Lax will face off against Johnson on Wednesday, April 26th, after a matchup with the Peddie School on April 24th.
