One word can only describe this season for Packers fans: Heartbreak. Absolutely crushing. This season was one of the most aggravating, yet hopeful seasons for the Green Bay Packers. The Packers were at an all time low with a 4-8 record heading into Week 14.  All hope seemed to have vanished into thin air. There was some talk of the ever so slightest chance of the playoffs – but no one believed it. However, in the most unexpected fashion, the Packers won out in their final 4 games. They beat 4 stronger opponents on the stat sheet, these teams being the Bears, Rams, Dolphin, and Vikings. Not only were the Vikings a hated rival for the Packers, but they were cruising in the division. Heading into the last week of the regular season, the Packers playoff hopes were higher than ever. All they had to do was beat the Lions. Typically, the Lions-Packers showdown is easily won by the Packers. Going into a do or die situation, the fans of Green Bay and the team themselves were more lively and hopeful than they had all season. Fast forward to the end of the game… it was possibly the worst way to end a Packers season. Losing 16-20, this was a game that will forever haunt Packers fans. Not only are the Packers not making the playoffs, but the future is more daunting than ever. The future for the Packers is somewhere in the clouds- uncertain and roaming free. The offseason for the Packers will be lively as ever. The main concerns surrounding Aaron Rodgers and the Wide Receiver lineup. Is it possibly said that Aaron Rodgers could possibly retire or even be traded. After the loss of Davante Adams, it is possible the Packers may be losing one of their lead Wide Receivers, Adam Lazard- a key factor for the Packers “success” this season. Only time will tell what the town of Green Bay has instore for next season. No matter the case, Go Pack Go.
