The Rams sojourned to Linden trying to build off their impressive win versus New Providence last week. This contest would mark the start of five games in six days. Nico Stauffer was on the bump for his first start of the season.

Anthony Bibbo opened the scoring in the first inning when he scored on a passed ball. In the bottom of the third, Stauffer worked in and out of trouble. After walking the two-hitter, he induced a pop-up and ground out to escape the inning unscathed. His offense rewarded him with three more runs. Cuddihy and Fudenna each walked and Colandrea drove in a run on a fielder’s choice. Jack Cuddihy drove in two more in the fifth on a single up the middle. After two quick outs, errors by Grasso and Bibbo pushed an unearned run across for the Tigers. In the top of the 6th, Bibbo scored after an errant pickoff move, increasing the OP lead to 7-1. Stauffer surrendered an earned run in the 7th, but quickly stopped the bleeding and finished what he started.

Stauffer went all 7 innings, punching out five in the process. Anthony Bibbo and Jack Cuddihy each earned two hits, with the latter driving in two runs as well.

Next up for OP is Brearley at home on Thursday.
