The JV Rams baseball have just kicked off their season. The Rams are best at defense, something Coach Sommo preaches. Obviously, offense wins games, but you can’t be in them without defense. OP has good pitching but better defense. The infield rarely makes errors and middle infield duo Brody Henderson and Ben Gaffney have already been showing great chemistry together. The outfield is led by George Fagan.

Game one: Oratory Prep  vs Glen Ridge

The Rams came out hot against Glen Ridge. For pitching, OP let 1 run come in 5 innings. OP was not so hot at the plate, even though they had 5 runs. The Rams had only 2 hits consisting of Ben Gaffney and Brody Henderson. The defense committed no errors. They looked spot on the first time out.

Game two: Oratory Prep vs Mo Beard

The Rams did not do their best against Mo beard. Morristown Beard JV team was comprised of juniors and the Rams did not do so well. The pitchers combined to let up a lot of runs and the outfield made a lot of errors. OP did not do so hot at the plate and the cold weather did not help. The Rams will bounce back, though. They have a lot of potential heading into the 2022 season.
