Saint Peters has been on a magical run this far. The Peacocks are the 15 seed and defeated the 2 seed Kentucky in the first round of the tournament. Saint Peters had zero-ranked players out of high school on the roster. After the win, they played the 7 seed Murray State. Murray State was 31-2 and dominating their competition all year. Saint Peters led the whole game dominating down low. The Peacocks have a dominant defense that the Murray State offense could not penetrate. Saint Peters won and shocked the world again winning 70-60.

Now, they are in the Sweet Sixteen playing one of the best offenses in the country Purdue. The Boilermakers are led by top draft prospect Jaden Ivey. They also have 7’4 center Zach Edey and Big 10 6th Man of the Year Trevion Williams. Purdue– a 3 seed– is the 12.5 point favorite over Saint Peters. Saint Peters’s offense will have to step up as they did against Kentucky to defeat the Boilermakers.

Saint Peters has the fan-favorite Doug Edert. Edert scored 20 points off the bench against Kentucky and 13 against Murray State. His stache is his good luck charm and what makes him loved by seemingly all of America. Win or Lose Saint Peters has shocked everyone on their Cinderella run.
