Team Seas

Team Seas is an international collaborative fundraiser project that is run by YouTubers MrBeast and Mark Rober. Many other content creators on Youtube have helped to support the cause. The campaign’s goal is to raise $30 million to remove 30 million pounds of trash polluting coastal regions, rivers, and, ultimately, oceans. Half of the money raised will fund the nonprofit organization, Ocean Conservancy, a group of volunteers who remove trash from beaches and the ocean. The other half will go towards the organization, the Ocean Cleanup, and their robotic machines (named Interceptors™) who have been collecting the trash from rivers since 2013, and have a goal of the reduction of floating ocean plastic by 2040 by 90%. The Ocean Cleanup also has its own recycling plan of converting trash to more valuable items, such as designer sunglasses.

To find out more information about this project, go to TeamSeas.org. There you will be able to find out more about the project and how to help. If you are willing and able to donate to the cause, it only takes one dollar to remove one pound of trash from the ocean. It is our responsibility to keep our planet clean. This is an amazing project that will make a difference in our world. Donate today! (or tomorrow or anytime really doesn’t matter. I don’t care).
