This past week, OP  battled against Jonathan Dayton in Mock Trial.  Last year was the year that OP did not win the county title for the 1st time since 2011. Now the team was ready to take back its crown! In the first trial of the season, the plaintiff team led by senior Joe Marchese and Aidan Philbrick defeated Bruriah’s team. Now the team was looking for the defense to carry the streak.

The Defense team was led by attorneys Logan Drone and Will Sanyour. The witnesses for the team were Steven Rotolo, Chris Reiman, and William Dondero. The trial was long, but well fought by the defense. Winning two objections that gave us the edge and cross-examinations that confused the opposing witness. In the end, the defense began its direct-examinations and told a story and the witness held their own against the cross-examinations of the opposing plaintiff team. The Defense bolstered their case with a terrific closing statement from Will Sanyour. It was a hard-fought battle but in the end, the OP defense had done it and carried the Rams to victory
