Oratory closed out their regular season against Madison on February 28. Prior to the game, seniors Jason Cevallos, Alex Felitto, Tyler Maloney, Declan McKee, and Peter Byrne were honored for their years of hard work and dedication put into the Oratory Prep Basketball program. All three seniors were in the starting lineup, along with Mike Pirone (Freshman) and Tommy Conniff (Sophomore).

The Rams started off a little slow. They were not making shots and were playing catch up with Madison. However, at the end of Q1, the Rams managed to have a 1 point lead. The second quarter would not go their way as the Dodgers regained the lead and expanded it to 4. The second half, however, would be all Oratory. Peter Byrne collected 9 points and freshman Mike Pirone added 3 3-balls in the 3rd quarter alone. The tide was beginning to change entering the 4th quarter. Byrne added another 8 points, and thanks to clutch free throws down the stretch, the Rams were able to secure the win.

Peter Byrne closed out his senior campaign with 17 points, including a 3 ball. Mike Pirone added 15 points, including a trio of 3 pointers. McKee added 11 and Conniff chipped in 10 points as well as spectacular inside D.

The Rowdies were there in full effect. The bleachers were teeming with hyped fans and there is no doubt that gave the Rams the advantage throughout the game. Donning the complementary senior night tee shirts, the Rowdies continued to bolster their fellow classmates to a W.

Next up for OP is at Seton Hall Prep on March 4. Go Rams!
