On Tuesday (10/29) the Oratory Cross Country team went to the conference championships at Warinanco Park in Roselle. Despite the rough conditions and longer course, the JV team placed fourth in the county. Freshman Augustus Russo led the pack by running an 18:46. He was followed by Jake McChesney(18:56), Brandon Franks(18:59), Thomas Coder(19:06), Gary Saitta(19:29), Aidan Philbrick(19:32), and Sean Brennen(19:37)

Varsity started soon after. With more rain and more people on the course, varsity really stepped it up to place fifth in the county. Senior Max Russo came in first place with a time of 16:18. Max also kept his title as Union County Champion from last year. Max was followed by Ciaran Bowler(18:02), Jack Sula(18:11), Brendan Klienle(18:20), Aidan Watkins(18:29), Ethan Kang(18:34), and Will Heffernan(18:47) 

The JV team has one more race on the 9th and Varsity will finish off their season on 16th in the State Group Championships.
