“A Talk With The Prez”

Christopher Lowe, Staff Contributor

And in the blink of an eye, a new school year is upon us—sports teams are in full grind, students are working hard to hand in assignments, and leaders are working to better the school. One of these students is student council president, Alex Fellitto. I had the honor of talking to Alex and discussing what lies ahead for the class of 2020 and those who follow behind it. It’s no surprise to see Felitto as commander-in-chief, he has served on the student council for all 4 years of his Oratory career. Students can rest assured knowing that leadership is a true passion that will be pursued in Alex’s presidency. Four years of varsity golf have taught the prez the essence of school spirit and teamwork. In fact, Felitto emphasized the importance of school spirit in our talk, stating that he wanted to increase school culture and spirit—get ready, Rowdies! As a senior myself, I was delighted to hear that Alex was looking into more senior “perks” this year as the seniors do so much for the school. Under Alex Felitto, Oratory Prep has been called to take pride in being a Ram. With dedicated staff members and students, Oratory Prep is more than just a school. I can only say that I am eager to see what Alex has in store for us with his presidency, his efforts to leave a lasting impact will hopefully be felt in years to come. Leadership is a passion for our Oratory President, with Felitto even stating that his Student Council run could perhaps continue into his college years as well.

Well, my fellow Rams, what are we to expect from Alex Felitto?: A hardworking leader who will show no hesitation in helping students achieve their goals. Although he might struggle with his QB skills, he certainly seems strong to take on the presidency of the Ram.
