Freshman Workshop with Kathy Cleary

Connor McDermott, Staff Writer

On Monday, April 8th, the freshman here at Oratory all took part in a workshop that taught them about breaking the idea of stereotypes when it comes to looking at men and women. Kathy Cleary came in and gave a presentation that taught the Freshman class an important lesson that is very relevant in today’s world. She taught the groups about how important it is to break away from viewing each gender as the typical stereotype. Some examples were that women could be strong people who could do more than just take care of the house and men don’t have to be the head of the family they can also help take care of the house and kids. Altogether the workshop taught us all about how to view people in this new generation and ways to help others be themselves.
