St. Philip Neri Club Update

Connor McDermott, Staff Writer

Just like always, the Saint Philip Neri Club is hard at work making the world a better place and preparing students to become leaders in the world. And right now they are working to raise money for Cystic Fibrosis. This committee is being run by junior Kyle Roethlin who has a cousin struggling with Cystic Fibrosis. Therefore, along with the help of his friends, he is going to help raise money for the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation. And in the opinion of club leader Mrs. Michalski, this is what makes the club truly special. All of the members truly want to help each other and see that the problem gets solved. Some members are going to their neighbors and parishes for money and students can donate during CWP in exchange for candy or during selected tag days.

In other news, one member of the St. Philip Neri Club, sophomore, Michael Manning, went to Africa with his family over spring break to help local families rebuild their homes that were recently damaged in a storm. Also, senior Justin Oei is currently collecting Bibles to donate to prisoners.
