NFL Week 12 Matchups

Falcons Vs. Saints

  • The game between Falcons and the Saints is a great NFC Matchup with a consistent team with playoff hopes and the hottest team in the NFL. Saints started slowly at 0-1 and got better and better, and now, they are unstoppable. The Falcons are a good team with a good offense, Matt Ryan performing well, and a stable receiving core. The defenses are decent on both teams, yet they could be better. The Saints have a great run, and the Falcons, with the loss of Devonta Freeman, are at a disadvantage with only Tevin Coleman in the backfield. The Saints are struggling against the pass, and that’s the Falcon’s strength. On the other side of the field, the Saints couldn’t be better. With a two-headed monster in the backfield, a top 5 receiver, arguably the best QB in the NFL right now, and the new pickup of Brandon Marshall, I feel this will be a passing shootout. The Saints have all the tools to win, but if the Falcons defense could play a good game, I feel they can cover that great offense and pull off the upset. Falcons win, 37 – 35

Texans Titans

  • The Texans are coming out of a 7 game win streak, and they are strong on both sides of football. The Titans are an inconsistent team, destroying the Patriots and getting destroyed by the Colts. The Titans, even with a good game, are not suited to stop Watson’s rushing ability and will be focused on the passing game. This will cause for huge games on Lamar Miller, who will play and perform well. Texans win, 21 – 6

Seahawks Panthers

  • The Seahawks and the Panthers are both good teams that are also in the run for the divisional and wildcard. The Panthers offense is doing well right now, using the most of their threats: Cam, Olsen, and McCaffery. The Seahawks defense is also doing well, holding the Packers in crucial 3rd downs last week. The pass rush was dominating the Packers last week and was the leading reason for their victory. The speed and agility of Cam Newton will be an even tougher challenge to tackle. McCaffery will be stopped in the rushing, but his receptions will cause him to get many fantasy points. This is due to Cam’s “quick dump offs” to him, and his speed will take him to a great game. Wilson and his team will do well on offense too, and I say this game will be a high scoring shootout between 2 great QBs and offensives. Due to Seattle’s pass rush, I say the Seahawks win this game, 32 – 30.
