Overall, the JV soccer season was definitely a success. The team went through the season with 8 wins, 4 losses, and 3 ties. Anytime the wins double the losses, it means the team had a good season. Though they would have liked to get their wins in the double digits, everyone was satisfied with their record, including the coach. It was a challenging season. However, like always, the team prevailed and produced a strong outcome. With hard work from the players and coach, the JV soccer team got through even the most challenging of games. Winning games against teams like Union, Linden, New Providence, etc.; the OP JV soccer team was definitely one of the better teams in the county, even in most of the games they lost. In fact, the majority of losses were just summed up to a bad day or not playing up to the team’s potential in the slightest. However, this year the team had a large group of returning JV players, which helped with the team’s cohesiveness. This, essentially, benefited the team significantly and contributed to the team’s skills overall.
