Oratory Prep Cross Country had a successful meet at conferences at Oak Ridge Park. Oratory finished first in Mountain Division. Max Russo led the XC team with a 16:10 in 1st place. Next came Fernando Aviles with a top 5 placement with a 17:10, closely followed by Eric Rhines with a 17:26. Next, closing out the Oratory top 5 was Aidan Watkins with a 17:42 and Chris Kramer with a 17:46. The last Oratory varsity runners were Kevin dePoortere and Alex Rickard around 18:05. This was a successful meet as we finished first in conferences and third in counties.

In the JV Division, Oratory Prep placed third. Jack Sula led Oratory with an 18:17 and finished twenty-first overall. He was followed by Brendan Kleinle and Ethan Kang both around 18:40. Closing out the top 5 of the JV pack was Cole Noss and Chris Uustal in the high 18s. Finally, closing out the JV pack was Will Heffernan and Ciaran Bowler in the low 19s. Overall, we had a stronghold in the top 50.

In the Watchung Division, we saw 10 runners all under 17:00. Additionally, we saw a very competitive Westfield and Scotch Plains-Fanwood teams both with many runners in the 16s and 17s. We hope that Max Russo will be able to outrun all of them and the team to rank second in counties this week.
