Coming from the streets of Basking Ridge, Mike Crapser is a new student to Oratory. However, you may recognize his last name ‘Crapser’.  Some of you may know his brother James (‘19) who is a hockey player and boy scout. To get to know Mike (and allow all of the readers to get to know him), I conducted an interview about his time at Oratory.

 

Q: What grade are you in?

A: 9th Grade

 

Q: What middle school did you come from?

A: Saint James (Basking Ridge)

 

Q: How is high school different than middle school?

A: I have a lot more freedom than I did in middle school.

 

Q: How was the transition from middle school to high school?

A: I have more work, and I have to manage my time.

 

Q: How do you like 9th grade so far?

A: I am having a great experience as a 9th grader.

 

Q: How do you like Oratory so far?

A: I feel very welcomed, and I am glad I came to Oratory.

 

Q: What clubs are you in?

A: I am in Yearbook Club.

 

Q: What sports are you in?

A: Cross Country, Ice Hockey.

 

Q: What is your favorite class this year and why?

A: World History because it is a fun and very entertaining class.

 

Q: What is the hardest class this year and why?

A: Spanish because we have a lot of quizzes and homework.

 

Q: What is the best moment of 9th grade so far and why?

A: The Best moment so far is making it to the semi-final in dodgeball.

 

Q: What is the worst moment of 9th grade so far and why?

A: When I forgot to study for a Spanish quiz.

 

Q: Who is your favorite upperclassman?

A: Jack Munro

 

Q: What has the hardest assignment of 9th grade been so far?

A: World History Test.

 

Q: Are you planning on joining any clubs/sports next year/in the coming months?

A: I am planning on joining fitness club in the spring.

 

Q: What is the best thing about high school so far and why?

A: The best thing about high school for me is taking the train and getting more freedom than I had.

 

Q: What is your favorite part of Oratory and why?

A: My favorite part about Oratory is the after school cross country practices. We have a great time getting in better shape and socializing after school.
