Packers Looking Unstoppable

Packers Looking Unstoppable

Mark Miyashiro, Staff Writer

There have been many surprises over the course of this football season, but one thing that is still constant is that the Packers are one of the best teams in the NFL. After this week’s epic comeback win over the Cowboys with only 1:23 left in the game to make it down the field, Aaron Rodgers and his wide receiver team seem to be the greatest offensive air threat in the NFL. While some may argue that since the Chiefs are still undefeated that they are technically the best, I must admit that the Chiefs have a better overall offense but not a better pass offense. The Chiefs have one of the better receivers in the league (Tyreek Hill), but lack depth in that department. Rookie phenomenon Kareem Hunt is a large factor in their offense, evidenced by his  121.8 rushing yards per game. The Packers, on the other hand, lack a reliable running back but make up for it in their receiving department. Jordy Nelson, Davante Adams, and Randall Cobb are all top tier receivers thanks to their MVP candidate quarterback, Aaron Rodgers. His composure is what keeps them in games; he never breaks a sweat when it comes down to the big plays (i.e. two hail mary’s in the 2015-2016 season to win the game against Detroit and to tie the game against the Cardinals). Overall, if Aaron Rodgers keeps up his play along with each member of the offense staying healthy, the Packers may give the Chiefs a run for their money come playoffs.
