New-Look Oratory

New-Look Oratory

Jack Anderson, Staff Writer

After a productive year and a half of constructing DaGaeta Hall, we have finally reached the point of completion.  2017 is the first year that the whole school will be able to enjoy the full functionality of the new addition.  DaGaeta Hall features a whole new cafeteria, at least three times the size of our old one. There are a total of eight new classrooms, not to mention the new main and administration offices.  The new building truly brings a more campus-like feel to Oratory.  Daily, students make trips from building to building based on their four class block schedule, leading to a college-like experience.  I have been a student at Oratory for the past two years and must say that the new building really does change the school.  School with only the Bain Building was cramped and difficult.  The addition of DaGaeta Hall has opened up the atmosphere of Oratory.  Things will only get better from where we are now.  It is safe to say that the “new” Oratory is a good change for the school itself and the student body.
