The London Derby. Chelsea versus Tottenham cannot get any better. Chelsea has been on fire the past two months with six wins in a row and no goals conceded. Tottenham came back last weekend in a spectacular comeback against West Ham FC winning 3-2 after two goals scored by Harry Kane in the last 3 minutes of the game. The starting lineup for Chelsea was Courtois, Cahill, David Luiz, Azpilicueta, Alonso, Matić, Kanté, Moses, Hazard, Costa, and Pedro on the right wing. Tottenham’s starting lineup was Lloris, Wimmer, Vertonghen, Dier, Walker, Dembele, Wanyama, Son, Dele, Eriksen, and Kane up front.

The whistle was blown to start the derby as Chelsea quickly sat back as Tottenham were given a free kick. The cross came in and Kane chested the ball, turned, and easily tapped it in. Kane was offside, however, so it was still 0-0. Soon after in the 10th minute, Eriksen took a longshot that curved outside of Courtois’ reach, giving Tottenham a deserved lead by one. This goal by Eriksen ruined the perfect 601-minute clean sheet, over the course of six games. A few chances and fouls on both sides kept the crowd in suspense, until the 45th minute. Moses crossed from the right wing, and Pedro collected a clearing header from Vertongen. Pedro took three touches then curled a beautiful shot into the top right, leaving Lloris shocked. Going into halftime at Stamford Bridge it was a 1-1 game.

Coming out of halftime Chelsea clearly had momentum. Six minutes in, Diego Costa sent a low cross in front of the goal to Moses running into the box. Moses struck it hard the first time, went off of Lloris’ foot but deflected off Wimmer into the goal. An emotional comeback was completed, and the score had the potential to increase. Costa put in another crucial low cross to Alonso, but he clipped the dirt as he shot and the ball skied over the goal. The next thirty minutes consisted of fouls and runs, but no goals or chances. Courtois did have a necessary saved after a run from Harry Kane left Azpilicueta on the ground and Eriksen volleying at Courtois’ hands. The goalie caught it along with the hopes of a Tottenham equalizer. Chelsea won 2-1 with Pedro and Moses scoring in this London Derby thriller.
