Algebra 2

Jack Anderson, Staff Writer

Math is something that I have trouble with.  It just doesn’t come to me.  This year, I am required to take an Algebra 2 class. I wasn’t really looking forward to it since my Algebra skills are shaky.  It’s been a month since I first started Mr. Cranley’s class and I started out poorly, not   understanding why my grades were so low.  I paid attention in class, studied for quizzes, and even did all my homework.  About a week ago I decided to seek help from the teacher, and we went over my most recent quiz grade and corrected it together.  It was very helpful.  I realized that although I had been studying, paying attention, and doing my homework, it just wasn’t enough for me to be successful in the class.  Soon I found out, after meeting with Mr. Cranley, that extra help was the key.  I started seeing him more often and even contacted Mrs. Krause, my guidance counselor, so I could be assigned a student tutor.  Ever since the extra help was applied to my Algebra education, my grades have been rising!  All I have to do now is maintain the work loads that are given to me.  Thanks to OP’s extra help system, anyone can be destined for success in any class they may struggle in.  I highly recommend that if you are struggling in a class that you act in the same way I did.
