At the Union County Championships, OP posted some impressive times. In the 1600m, Joseph Cranley ran a 4:47.38 and Michael Cantaluppi finished close behind with a 4:51.28 to place 21st and 25th respectively. Corey Vita ran a 59.65 in the 400m hurdles, placing 8th out of 29. In the 400m, Aaron Grundy finished 12th with a 51.29 and Doug Degolyer finished 17th with a 51.77. Grundy also competed in the long jump, placing 11th with a 20-02.50. In the 200m, Doug Degolyer ran a 24.22 as Corey Vita finished close behind with a 24.55. Michael Cantaluppi and Jake Noss both ran in the 3,200m with a 10:19.66 and 10:27.85 respectively. Andrew Vita finished with a 2:02.79 in the 800m, placing 16th out of 46. In addition to the single events, the 4x400m relay team of Aaron Grundy, Kevin Sommer, Corey Vita, and Doug Degolyer finished 7th with a 3:28.54. OP’s track team looks to continue their hard work and end the season strong.
