Good Morning, good afternoon, good evening, and good night dear reader. This week I present you with the second addition of my fledgling column Time Wasting, were I recommend you a comic book that I enjoy to you the reader. But I know you won’t read it so I’m just wasting time (get the joke know). This week I give you Archie Comics’ Jughead by Chip Zdarsky and Erica Henderson.

Jughead is set in the new rebooted continuity of Archie Comics and is a spin off book of the  Archie series by Mark Waid and Fiona Staples. The series follows Forsythe Pendleton Jones, better known around Riverdale as “Jughead” in his troublemaking adventures around town. The story so far is that the school board has retired the much beloved Principal Weatherbee, replacing him with the new Principal Stanger. Unlike Principal Weatherbee, Principal Stanger is much more strict and almost military-like in his managing of the school. Jughead smells a conspiracy with Principal Stranger and his new militant staff and intends to get to the bottom of it.

This new version of Jughead is an awesome character. He’s intelligent, relaxed, a voracious eater (his diet consists of burgers, hotdogs, lasagna, burgers, sandwiches, burgers, milkshakes, and of course burgers), funny, and an overall cool character. So in conclusion, I highly suggest that you pick up the hilarious exploits of Jughead as they are proving to be very entertaining.
