Today, I would like to give you an inside perspective into the mind of Edmund Foley III. Ed is currently a senior at Oratory and one of the captains of the baseball team.  He is known grade-wide for his out of control personality, and he takes pride in it.  This article should give you a good sense of how he feels about the school and even his expectations for the baseball season.

Q: Who first told you about Oratory and why did you decide to come here?

A: I was first told about Oratory by my friend, Joe Paladino. I went to the basketball camp over the summer and met Mr. Donnelly, who was a huge part of me coming to Oratory. I came here because of the small size, good teachers, and also because I could play two sports.

Q: What do you enjoy most about coming to Oratory everyday?

A: I enjoy seeing all of my friends and “gooning out.” It’s always fun in school, especially when I have AP Econ with Mr. Acquadro.

Q: What has been your favorite memory over that past years at Oratory?

A: My favorite memory is when Peter Walter and I gave a Snuggie presentation in Public Speaking sophomore year. The best part of the presentation is when Peter Walter kept on saying “Roll It!”

Q: If you could, what would you change about the school?

A: I would allow the seniors to go out for lunch and order delivery 1-2 times per week. I feel this would make the senior class happy and would be something really cool. Getting Chipotle during school would be awesome.

Q: You said you enjoy AP Econ with Mr. Acquadro, would you say he is your favorite teacher?

A: Yes, I would have to say Mr. Acquadro is my favorite. He is an awesome teacher who makes class really entertaining. “Dr. Dro’s” AP Econ Class is a class I would recommend for all underclassmen to eventually take.

Q: As you wrap up your final season as a member of the baseball team, what do you expect out of this year’s group of guys?

A: I expect everyone to step it up and give it their best effort, especially the seniors. I am expecting a lot of leadership from the upperclassmen so they can guide the new guys on the team. Hopefully we can accomplish our goals and have a solid year on the diamond.
