The LS Basketball teams had great wins this week. On Tuesday, they faced Morristown Beard and won handily in both games. In the first game John Martin and Will Smart combined for more than 30 in the first half to have a huge halftime lead. This was still the case in the second with too much offensive and defensive firepower from the Rams Varsity squad. The final score was 56-34 Oratory. Next, the JV basketball team played. Morristown Beard dominated the boards in the first half. However, the Rams made tough shots toward the end of the first half only trailing 16-14. After trailing all game the Rams caught fire. They started to press and the Crimson couldn’t handle the aggressive defensive effort. Connor Maenpa and Ty Tucker hit shots thanks to many steals from Chris Kraemer who also had 21 points. Everyone on the team scored in the game.  The Rams made almost everything while causing many turnovers to out score the Crimson 32-9 in the second. The final score 46-23 Oratory. This was the Lower School JV team’s first win and a big win.

On Friday the Rams Varsity Squad played Roselle Park. The Rams played Roselle Park earlier in the season with a grinding 9 point win. This game was way different than the first. The Rams dominated early getting many second chance points and jumpers. The Rams simply outplayed Roselle Park going on many runs and not letting them back in the game. The final 48-33 Oratory. The Rams Varsity team improved to 6-2. There are only a few games left for each squad. Come out and support the teams.
