Snow Has Last Say in This Week’s edition of LS Basketball Weekly Update

Joey Meade, Staff Writer

After one game last week, the lower school basketball team hit the floor for 3 hard days of practice. As we got off the bus Friday we felt like we would be ready for 2 games including a long anticipated rematch with MKA. Two days later, a winter storm hit New Jersey. This was the worst time for the lower school varsity team, which had won 3 straight and was on a rampage. On Tuesday, the lower school teams would have played Craig, but “The Winter Storm That Wasn’t” canceled school and the game. This was a nasty uppercut to the lower school basketball team. As the snow cleared, we still thought we would have our rematch with MKA. However, the snow had the last say and hit the knockout punch to cancel the game due to unsafe travel conditions for both teams. While this was sad, the lower school team plays two games at home next week; A game against Morristown Beard on Tuesday and a rematch against a tough Roselle Park team. Come out and support the team.
