LS Basketball at MKA

Both Lower School Varsity and JV dropped two tough games to two very talented MKA teams. While the LS varsity team had a tough first half, they came alive in the second half. They outscored MKA in the second half. However this was not enough to overcome MKA’s first half shooting dominance. It was also a tough one to swallow as MKA made some very tough shots. In the second half John Martin,Luke Dilorio, and Will Smart made some shots thanks to great passing from the rest of the team. The team shows promise as seen in the second half. There is also no big worry as this was the first game of the year. The LS JV team played right after. MKA jumped out to an impressive 16 point lead early. However with great passing from Jason Cevallos and shots from Chris Kraemer, and yours truly the JV team cut the deficit in half within four minutes. In the second half, like the first game, MKA made some tough shots. Tyler Tucker responded to most of these by assisting on some shots and draining a big three that got the Rams closer. Sadly with these very tough shots, MKA overcame the Rams.

The varsity team has a chance to rebound from this tough loss on Tuesday against Winfield Park. The JV team has a chance to rebound against Newark Academy. When the LS teams play at home try to come out and support them.
