Games in the Cafeteria

Students arrived at Oratory Prep this year to find some fantastic new additions. There are armchairs in the lobby (a special thanks to Henry Monaco and the Student Life Committee), a state-of-the-art building in the near future, and most recently, board games in the cafeteria. Along with watching the two flat screen televisions in the cafeteria, students can now play board games during lunch. Some of the games include Uno, Battleship, Jenga, and Connect Four. During lunch, you can see students involved in intense games of Uno or just having fun playing Connect Four. Lunch is not the only time these games are used. After school, you will see many students playing the board games as they wait for their parents to pick them up. Interestingly, the board games have shown the competitive side of students. Although the students try their best at winning, with some being more successful than others, in the end everyone just has fun. This addition to the cafeteria has proven to be successful. The Student Life Committee has made it clear to me that further improvements are soon to be implemented, so look out for them!
