A Trip To the 9/11 Museum

A Trip To the 9/11 Museum

Chris Hutchison, Staff Writer

On Wednesday (Nov. 19), the History and Politics club visited the 9/11 Memorial and Museum. This is one of the few places in the world that has the potential to bring even the most dispassionate person to tears.

While most of us were young kids when the attacks occurred, we have all grown up in the shadow of one of the darkest days in US history. It is important that all of us see this spectacular memorial/museum at least once in our lives.

Twenty members of the History club, accompanied by Mr. Martin, Ms. Henry and Mr. McCrystal, sat through hours of traffic and walked through bitter cold temperatures to see the 9/11 Museum. It was completely worth it. Hundreds of people crowded into the memorial and museum to see the incredible structures that remain from World Trade Center. The memorial, while very somber, was very reflective of the resilient spirit of Americans. Whether it be voices of those who were lost, or the gut-wrenching footage of that day, there are few places that are as powerful as the 9/11 museum.

I highly recommend this museum to anyone who has any connection to 9/11 or is simply interested in history.
