On Thursday, October 30th, the Rams hosted the Pioneers of New Providence in what was the most important game of the season. With the conference title on the line, and with a chance to beat the Pioneers for a second time this season, the Rams looked like a championship team on the field. Although down 1-0 in the first half, AJ Kopacz quickly answered off a pass from PJ Herbert. Then, James Gagliano then shocked the crowd by firing a 35-yard shot into the top right corner of the net to put the Rams up 2-1. Jack Bizub put away two goals in the second half to seal the victory, while Eric Kleppinger picked up an assist as well. Goalie Sebastian Ramirez made four saves. This is the Rams’ first conference championship in 34 years! They take on the winner of the MKA/Eastern Christian first round game in the Non-Public B state tournament next Thursday.
