An Editor’s Farewell

An Editor's Farewell

Henry Monaco, 2014-2015 Editor

Firstly, I want to thank everyone that contributed to the Omega this year and helped build it up to what it has become now. I also want to applaud all of the younger writers that went out on a limb and joined the Omega this Fall because it sometimes can feel like a daunting task to publish your pieces for the whole school to see. Next, I would like to thank my moderators Mr. Kearns, Mrs. Gribbin, and Mr. McCrystal for pushing me to achieve more and keep the Omega running efficiently.

Throughout my years, and a year or two prior, at Oratory I have witnessed the Omega evolve from an under published, under publicized and frankly unknown news source to a fully functional website that draws many Oratorian readers to it to help them check up on their sports teams, learn about interesting current events or even watch well-produced student movies. Both Alex Pompetzki and I are extremely proud of the effort our writers have put in this year to keep the newspaper running and for turning The Omega into the successful student newspaper it has become.

Finally, I would like to welcome our new editors and formally “pass the torch” on to them. Congratulations to Tim Ring ‘16, Charlie Arnedt ‘16 & Adam Lewis ‘17 on your selection as editors. Continue to work hard and persevere, and the Omega will be as successful as ever.
