Eagles Get Upset by the Commanders

George Fagan, Staff Writer

It was just another Monday night game where everyone would think that the Eagles would steamroll the Commanders. The Eagles came into the game as 11 point favorites at home, where they would look to improve their 8-0 record against a very streaky Commanders team. The Eagles had the edge in the first quarter by going up 14-7, but the Commanders quickly answered back. Brian Robinson found the endzone for a second point score, along with two field goals, that would put them up by six at the half. The Commanders would play solid defense for the rest of the game by forcing three total turnovers, and only letting up one more touchdown. The Commanders defense would once again force the Eagles to punt, which they would only get the ball back one more time, but would result in another Commanders touchdown. The Commanders would shock the world by upsetting the undefeated Eagles and improve to a 5-5 record, trying to sneak into the playoffs with every win they get.
