NFL Week 13 Hot Matchups

Texans vs. Browns:

The Texans are red hot right now, their defense and offensive strategies both working. Their communication is good, and their offensive leader, Deshawn Watson, is in a rhythm right now. The Browns aren’t doing too badly either. Their offense is heating up, with Baker Mayfield maturing and Nick Chubb going off the last three games. This game will be a shoot out if both teams perform, but due to the experience of the Texan’s defense and their 8 game win streak, I would pick the Texans over the Browns. But the Browns will be up there and close, and probably will cover the spread. Texans 31 – 29

Vikings vs. Patriots:

This is a classic AFC matchup between 2 offensive powerful teams. Both teams have a great receiving core, of course, a great quarterback, and a powerful game on the ground. The Patriots now have 3 running backs with Rex Burkhead being taken off the IR. That means Sony Michel as their “RB”.  James White will probably be the third and long and pass catcher / RB for the Pats, and Rex Burkhead on the third and short or maybe 4th downs. I would not start Sony Michel this game; start James White. He is the patch catcher, and the Secondary is where the Vikings need help. Sony Michel and Rex Burkhead will be limited. Not James White. On the other side, Dalvin Cook and Kyle Rudolph are the ones to look for. Everyone is focused on the double threat of Thielen and Diggs, but those 2 will be the ones racking up points against the Patriots. I say Vikings upset the Pats, 19 – 17

Chargers vs. Steelers:

The Chargers are now without Melvin Gordon, and the Steelers are having a little trouble with James Conner. There is a RB lack here, which may cause for a high scoring passing game. But also, the person to look out for in this game on offense is Justin Jackson for the chargers. He is the rookie RB, and without Gordon, he will split with Austin Eckler. When rookies get a chance, they may surprise you. If you need a RB or have a extra slot, I would pick him up. As for the steelers, look out for juju. The Chargers defense is good, but will of course be focused on Antonio Brown, With Big Ben’s veteran abilities, he will see this and will probably be his first look often in this game. I say Chargers will take the Steelers, 33 – 28
