Duke vs. Indiana Recap

Duke+vs.+Indiana+Recap

John Lally, Staff Writer

This Tuesday Duke played Indiana in the ACC vs. Big Ten Challenge. Number seven Duke came into the game on a four-game winning streak. Formerly ranked Indiana came into the game struggling, with three losses on the season. Unlike most games, Duke started fast and went out to an early lead. Throughout the first half Duke’s new zone hurt Indiana’s offense, who looked clueless against it. The first half was capped off by Duke standout Grayson Allen on a floater. The second half did not help Indiana at all. They did not look very conditioned and became tired very quickly. This is when the crown jewel of Duke’s freshman broke out and began to have the best game of his career. The lengthy Brandon Ingram became hot from beyond the arch and ended the game with four frees and 24 points. Alongside Ingram was junior Matt Jones, who ended the game with 23 points. This win improved the Duke Blue Devils ACC vs Big Ten Challenge record to 5-2, the best of all time.

Final: Duke 94 – Indiana 74
