This year’s college signing day was one to remember. As expected, Alabama had the best recruiting class followed by Florida State and USC. Adding to the excitement were some intriguing and unexpected commitments. Snoop Dogg’s son, Cordell Broadus, from the number one high school football team in the nation, Bishop Gorman, decided to take his talents to UCLA.  There he will play alongside, Justin Combs, the son of P-Diddy who is another rapper. This was a huge surprise because Broadus’s dad wanted him to go to USC. BYU signed a 6’7, 410 pound beast from Tonga named Otekiai Langi. Langi was scouted by the assistant coach of BYU in a pickup basketball game. Although Langi has never played football, the BYU coach says that he will be able to learn. He will need to be a quick study to adjust to the competitive level of Division I football, however, his size will no doubt ease the transition.  Number one recruit, Byron Cowart, from Armwood High School in Florida decided to go to Auburn. All colleges bolstered their rosters with new talent, making next year’s college football season eagerly anticipated, as we find out how these new players impact the fortunes of their teams.
