Joining Oratory Preparatory in 8th grade, John Abili has been an instrumental part of his grade and the Oratory community. John Abili or “Abilify”, a Sophomore, has an interesting weekly routine. This routine is not an ordinary one; John participates in many activities including: soccer, band, Omega, and charity events.

As a 15-year-old, Abilify believes every action is an action people look up to. John believes in working hard as well as having fun; this is why he is easily the most sarcastic person in the grade. Believing in a healthy meal, John stated, “the best way is Subway.” Every morning, John takes the train, but before doing so, he buys a footlong at Subway. Abilify says, “how else will I get my energy?”

Refueling with Subway, Abilify has the energy to play sports, write, and entertain us with his musical abilities when he plays the saxophone. When John finishes a stressful day at school, he enjoys going home to play soccer. When he is finished his scholarly works, he relaxes by playing the soothing sound of the saxophone. John enjoys playing video games such as FIFA 15 but believes “the purchase of FIFA coins is the reason for the recession in the United States.”  Somehow finding the time, John finishes his day by writing articles for the Omega Newspaper.

John’s favorite Oratory Prep experience was at the Sophomore retreat where he drew superheroes to destroy his problems. He believes that this is a peaceful way to rid your problems. Although just a 15-year old man, John Abili can accomplish so much by the power of a routine.
